Designed in Sussex by French Bedroom, the Gustavian Bed is part of the Gustavian collection that pays tribute to the kinship visual dialogue between between French and Swedish furniture designs.

Inspired by the clean-lined architectural Gustavian form, the bed features geometric profiles defined by a simple silhouette. Crafted from solid ash wood and finished with a mild and light distemper, paired with tailored pale ivory linen upholstery, finished with piped edging. This Gustavian bed offers a sleek, streamlined and contemporary take on the classic and historic Gustavian design.

Adapted from our best-selling Gustavian Bed, we redesigned the existing silhouette to add a low footboard option. The hand-carved and carefully considered design details create a perfect aesthetic of natural, refined elegance. The siderails and footend feature horizontal hand-carved fluting with stepped inset corners that emulate the same stepped design on the shoulders of the headboard, with its distinguished acorn corner finials.

This timeless upholstered bed is expertly constructed with enduring beauty; over time the ash wood will weather to develop a rich patina that only the authenticity of time can evoke.
