Handmade in the UK exclusively for French Bedroom and available in two sizes, our Toile Liberté Cushions depict a modern toile that depicts illustrations in celebration of women.

Designed in house by Georgia and her in-house illustrator Rachelle, the design is visual exemplification and celebration of female empowerment and freedom (Liberté translates as freedom in French).

Every royal blue, hand-drawn detail is a celebration, hidden in a classic French style toile. Upon close inspection of this fabric, you will find illustrations of women dancing and drinking wine, alongside a French Bulldog. These are well considered additions, emphasising our freedom to happily exist in a modern society. Alongside this, we have included a camellia flower inspired by the Chanel camellia; a nod to Coco Chanel’s contribution to the elevation of women in 20th Century society, in which she used masculine tailoring to create androgynous silhouettes that allowed women to flourish.

A carefully considered design that will age with grace and elegance. The cushion features a complementary blue piped edge, allowing for a plethora of styling opportunities, and the delightful toile design is repeated on the reverse. The cushion is plumped with an ethically-sourced feather inner pad and sealed with a concealed zip.
