On average we spend 33 years of our lifetime in the comfort of our beloved bed, so we know that ensuring your duvet and pillows are just right is absolutely essential to getting a perfect night’s sleep.

Wave au revoir to restless nights
A luxury duvet, made from the very best natural nesting materials, will ensure you have the most comfortable and peaceful night’s sleep.

There is something personal and intimate about your duvet and pillow selection, and ensuring you have the right one for you is essential - whether that be a lighter, airy duvet for warm summer nights or a high tog, cosy, and reassuring duvet to wrap up in throughout the winter months, the choices are endless, and there is the perfect partnership available for every bed.

Enjoy premium feather and down fillings – soft, lightweight, and always welcoming, paired with a perfect pillow, plump with firmness to suit your sleep, from French Bedroom.

Which Tog Duvet Is Right for You?

If possible, your duvet should match the season. If you are looking for a warm and cosy duvet for the depths of winter, it should have a tog over ten to keep you feeling delightfully snug. In summer, we recommend a duvet between 1 and 7 tog to keep you cool, but well covered.

If you are looking for a year-round duvet that will see you through all seasons, a 10-tog duvet should keep you adequately cosy in the winter, and cool and relaxed in the heat of summer.

We have a range of luxury natural duvets and pillows, from the lightweight and softer down that are filled with fluffy feathers to offer high level of warmth; to down-feel microfibre - a filling that is inherently breathable and moisture wicking - making it an excellent choice for a year-round duvet. Synthetics are also great for those with allergies and are fine and light so the pillows can be stacked.

Dressing Your Bed to Suit Your Style

There is something deeply rewarding about the bed not only feeling great but looking great too. While duvets and pillows don’t strictly come under dressing, it forms an important part of the aesthetic of your bedroom.

Whether you should stack your pillows, or if they go under or over the duvet (although we are firmly of the opinion that pillows should be above the duvet and not below) - how you dress your bed is both aesthetically and practically important.

Picking the right luxury bedding sets decide the tone for your entire boudoir, and it will rest gently against your skin as you sleep, so choose wisely.

Cotton (particularly white cotton) is the ultimate in achieving that hotel feel – there’s nothing like sinking into crisp sheets at the end of the day, whilst linen gives you more of a relaxed, casual feel, and as a natural fabric its very breathable. For something ultra-luxury and opulent, try silk – it also has inherent beauty benefits for hair and skin.
