What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?

Measure, measure, measure.  Cut up newspaper into the footprint shape of the item to see how it sits in the room (and that it fits through your door & up the stairs).  It’s always heartbreaking talking to customers who find something is too large to fit through their doors.

If you were a piece of contemporary or French furniture what would you be & why?
A French bed, because that's where it all begins!

Which room would we find you in at a party?
In the kitchen at first, then on the dancefloor, & then on the sofa!

Which is your favourite room at French Bedroom?
I love the grown up femininity of the Bonaparte room with the Birdcage wallpaper – it always feels so serene & peaceful in there.  & I love that the very same wallpaper lined the walls of the room in the Goring Hotel where Kate Middleton got ready to marry her Prince!

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?
Don't be afraid of choosing more than one colour in your room scheme.  As long as the style of products matches (say, all French furniture), you can mix cream, gold, silver or white & it will look right without being too matchy-matchy!

If you were a piece of contemporary or French style furniture what would you be & why?
A huge chest of drawers, keeping lots of things organised & under control (just don't look at the state of my desk!)

Which room would we find you in at a party?
Everywhere & anywhere – the dancefloor, the sofa, the kitchen, wherever there are lovely & fun people to chat with.

Which is your favourite room at French Bedroom?
I love the Whisky Room, with its plush sofas, beautiful lighting, long lacquered tables & a huge open fireplace – the most relaxing place to escape to with a cheeky glass or two.

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?

Don’t be afraid to mix & match your older pieces with new purchases; some of our lovely French furniture looks amazing jazzed up with a pair of contemporary cushions.

If you were a piece of contemporary or French style furniture what would you be & why?
I would be a Dolly the Stool, slightly bonkers but fun!

Which room would we find you in at a party?
Whichever room has the music. Oh & of course the kitchen as it's where all the best bits happen!

Which is your favourite room at French Bedroom?
The Gallery - there is a real mixture of amazing pieces from the beautiful Ibiza Full Length Mirror to the Kilim Rug, every time I'm in there something new catches my eye.

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?
Don't be afraid to choose your favourite things! On a singular basis they may be a little mismatched, but I love the unpredictability of an eclectic style, & things only ever exist within their given context. It's a real treat to look around a room & find interesting objects which continue to add to the character of a room & its curator. It's all there to be enjoyed!

If you were a piece of contemporary or French furniture what would you be & why?
A beautifully crafted period style statement armchair, just as satisfying to look at as it is to curl up in & enjoy!

Which room would we find you in at a party?
You'll find me in the dining room or kitchen. I am readily drawn in by lovely people & hearty conversation, & dining tables form the ideal platform. With a relaxed ever-changing atmosphere of a party, there is always a way to squeeze in & make the most of such a busy & varying group of people.

Which is your favourite room at French Bedroom?
It has to be the Gaucho room, it really shows how the most unlikely of furnishing partners can come together to form an intense & decedent setting - classic French furniture & more progressive pieces working in perfect harmony. There is a broad use of texture alongside a dark, rich tone to form an opulent yet contemporary environment.

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?

I think it's all about you. There are thousands of different opinions when it comes to interior design, but ultimately, it's your choice. Do you prefer a mix of just two colours or do you love colourful surroundings? Minimalist or eclectic? You don't have to win design awards - you just have to love the place you live in.

Which room would we find you in at a party?
For me, it's not about the room. I would be where the fun & interesting people are. No matter if we are enjoying the dancefloor or sitting on the stairs!

Which is your favourite room at French Bedroom?
I think all of them are well worth a visit. However the Whisky Room (with that amazing huge horse inside!) is a special place for me because it was the first room I saw at French Bedroom. Although I was in this room for the job interview, I felt surprisingly comfortable & relaxed there. I know I will have a similar one in my future house!

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?

Choose something that fits with your style, not just something that’s in-style. Feeling a connection to the pieces around you makes a home into a haven.

If you were a piece of contemporary or French style furniture, what would you be & why?

The Chablis & Roses Mink Velvet Sofa. Because it’s versatile, welcoming, & changes look depending on how it’s styled.

Which room would we find you in at a party?

All of them! I love to wander around (within reason) & get style inspo from other people’s houses.

What’s your favourite French Bedroom Product?

The Dreaming Spires bed. I love to lie in when I can, & the four-poster style in natural wood tones is so cosy & inviting. It’s just dreamy!

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?
I have no trouble shopping for homeware. It brings me so much joy. With that in mind the question I ask myself is ‘do you really LOVE it’. I never leave something behind if I love it. The worst feeling is the regret of pieces you missed out on!

If you were a piece of contemporary or French style furniture what would you be & why?
Palais de Versailles linen upholstered bed, I’d like to be that sophisticated. In Super King Size - so that I would find myself placed in a grand boudoir!

Which room would we find you in at a party?
Without a doubt, in the girls’ room. Giving everyone a pep talk. If you don’t find me there, you’ll certainly find me trying to start a dancefloor, in any room really!

What’s your favourite French Bedroom Product?
Montgomery Rattan Bed. Because it ticks my box of really love it. I do really love it! Raw materials, but still beautifully carved – the right level of French Bedroom sophistication for my own personal style.

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?

Sometimes I feel like design/art can be overthought, so go with your instinct. If you think that new piece will work in your home, chances are it will. If it’s out of your comfort zone I would say trust it even more, finding a new style can be really exciting.

If you were a piece of contemporary or French style furniture, what would you be & why?

I’d be the Blooms at Midnight Bed Linen – I’m very much an evening person, much like these midnight blooms, with big, bold statements!

Which room would we find you in at a party?

I am a big foodie, & have grown up surrounded by great food, so you’ll always find me in the kitchen at parties cooking up a storm.

What’s your favourite French Bedroom Product?

The Chateauneuf Reclaimed Wooden Lamp Table. Its acid wash style finish is something I really like, with the unique finish it has, you know the item you have is truly one of a kind.

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?

My number one top tip when buying pieces for your home is buy products that make you smile every time you see them. Buying furniture is not only a financial investment but an emotional one too, which has a direct influence on your day to day life style and wellbeing. These pieces should bring you joy and happiness, if you buy with your heart you won’t go far wrong!

If you were a piece of contemporary or French style furniture what would you be & why?
I would be one of our French Armoires. Not too dissimilar in weight and width, I’m always there for your needs, organised, practical and stylish…if I do say so myself.

Which room would we find you in at a party?
You’ll find me at the hub of the party, the kitchen! There is nothing more I love than to have good catch up over a ice cold craft beer!

What’s your favourite French Bedroom Product?
My favourite French Bedroom product is our Love Story Taupe Velvet Buttoned Upholstered Bed. Elegant, sleek and timeless.

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?

If you’re struggling to visualise a place for a piece of furniture or even a colour scheme, Pinterest will be your new best friend. My favourite pastime is going down an interiors worm-hole online.

If you were a piece of contemporary or French furniture what would you be & why?
I’d be our beautiful Chateauneuf Rattan Bed, because I’d love to end up living in a French farmhouse one day & this is exactly where I envisage this bed!

Which room would we find you in at a party?
Probably in the kitchen, sorting the drinks & making sure everyone has one. I like to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves, & there’s nothing worse than a dry old party!

What’s your favourite French Bedroom Product?
I can’t possibly choose between all of our French beds, it’s just too difficult! So I would say our Essence Velvet cushions. They are such a good size & feel incredibly luxurious with their plump feather filling. I want one in every colour!

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?

Statement pieces are key & can completely transform a room, taking it from bland to chic in seconds. Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone! Some of my favourite purchases have been things that aren’t my usual style.

If you were a piece of contemporary or French style furniture, what would you be & why?

I would be a New Beginnings Pink Velvet Bed. It’s super practical while still being pink, romantic & feminine.

Which room would we find you in at a party?

Whichever room has the dance floor, well until my feet start to hurt, & I need some food to re-fuel!

What’s your favourite French Bedroom Product?

My favourite product is the Mimi Grey Faux Fur Throw. There is something so comforting about being all wrapped up in a blanket, feeling safe & secure whilst being cocooned in softness.

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?

Go with ideas that fit with multiple schemes which gives you opportunities to be versatile. Also, don’t be afraid to go with your instinct.

Elodie Pendant Chandelier in French Grey – It’s simple, sophisticated & lights up a room.

Which room would we find you in at a party?

Everywhere! In the Kitchen by the food, on the dancefloor & wherever the chatty people are to have a laugh with.

What’s your favourite French Bedroom Product?

Soho Cloud Grey Velvet Bed – It’s simple but so effective. I love the shade of Grey as it adds a modern look to the room & goes with so much. What more could you want than to feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud.

What is your number one top tip to consider when buying home interior pieces?

My top tip would be to invest in the quality pieces that you have your heart set on, as these will last longer and can be styled through those inventible future trends.

If you were a piece of contemporary or French style furniture, what would you be & why?

I would be a Chablis & Roses Mink Velvet Sofa as it’s a welcome addition to any environment and enjoys a good catch up with family and friends.

Which room would we find you in at a party?

You will definitely find me singing my heart out on the dance floor before sneaking off to the kitchen for some cheesy chips!

My favourite product is the Dreaming Spires Rattan 4-Poster Bed. It’s a stand out piece and to be able to fall asleep in this every night, would feel like a dream!
