The French Bedroom pillowcases are made from 100% pure A-grade Mulberry Silk made from 19 Momme natural silk with a very slim micro piping for an elevated finish. Silk bed linen is widely recognised and recommended by leading dermatologists as an anti-aging tool because it helps skin retain its natural moisture, keeping it soft, supple and helping to reduce fine facial lines and wrinkles.
Because silk contains the same naturally occurring proteins as hair, sleeping on luxuriously soft silk pillowcases will reduce friction and moisture loss, preventing hair from becoming dry and brittle, so you wake up with healthy, sleek and shiny hair. Silk is also hypoallergenic and breathable as it works to regulate your body's temperature so you sleep soundly all night long.

Caring for your Silk:
Silk Bed Linen can be washed on a cool wash cycle, at no more than 30°C. If silk is washed at a higher temperature than 30°C, the natural properties of the silk will be significantly damaged, and as a result, the silk fabric will harden, become brittle and tear easily. We recommend washing all your silk items together, as opposed to mixing with other fabrics, as these materials can rub against the silk during the washing process and damage the delicate silk threads. Never boil or soak your silk, in the event of your silk being stained or soiled, simply spot clean the mark before machine washing at 30°C.
We recommend silk is line dried, however, a simple tumble dry at a very low temperature will be fine. After caring for your silk, we advise a warm setting iron to restore the Mulberry silk's natural sheen, softness and suppleness. The warmth and steam from your iron will also help to preserve the silk's natural properties, as well as allowing the colour and natural shimmer of the fabric to resurface.
Silk is a gorgeous but delicate material. It is made from 100% natural fibres, and can be broken down and weakened if exposed to direct sunlight. We advise that you keep items made from silk out of direct sunlight to ensure years of enjoyment.
