What size is a UK double bed?
The UK’s most common size, the Double accommodates a 135 × 190 cm mattress. It balances comfort and space beautifully, ideal for couples or snug solo sleepers who like to starfish alike! One of our most loved designs, the Love Story Upholstered Bed in Natural Linen, is a timeless double bed with elegant curves and a soft, neutral palette, perfect for bedrooms that blend style with comfort.
You may also come across Small Double beds, which measure 120 × 190 cm. While we don’t currently offer this size, it can be a good option for very compact bedrooms or single sleepers who like extra room.

What size is a UK king size bed?
King size beds are perfect for those who like to sleep like a king! Providing slightly more room than a double, spanning a generous 150 x 200 cm, king size beds are incredible for those who are looking for a bit of extra room, as well as for those who are taller but still want to have a beautiful bed without hitting the footboard! A king size bed can often be confused with a Queen-sized bed, which is an American size. As the Queen is 2cm bigger, a UK mattress would have more wiggle-room than necessary when placed on this.
