This large-scale reversible kantha bedspread is made from 100% cotton and features an intricate ivory floral design against a rich cinnamon ground. A coordinating botanical border and contrasting cinnamon-and-ivory striped trim frame the print, while the plain ivory reverse offers a more understated look, finished with rows of kantha running stitch in a matching cinnamon tone.
Our kanthas begin their life in Sanganer, Jaipur, where fabrics are hand-block printed, one block at a time, using carved wooden blocks and traditional Indian techniques. From there, they pass through the hands of skilled artisan families, who cut, stitch, quilt, and finish each piece. Every kantha is then carefully checked and prepared in Noida before beginning its journey to French Bedroom.
As each kantha is made by hand, occasional loose threads, subtle printing irregularities, and colour variations may occur.
