The Finer Details
Made exclusively for French Bedroom.
To celebrate 20 years of French Bedroom, we designed the Heirloom Gold Collection. Drawing on the character and nostalgic grandeur of antique French furniture, the collection offers a timeless aesthetic, pairing the romance of traditional French interiors with the homes of today.
Look a little closer and the details tell their own story: gently turned legs, intricate hand-carved flourishes, floral drawer handles, decorative keyhole surrounds and silk tassels. The pieces are finished in softly aged gold that lends warmth to the collection and gives the items the individuality of pieces collected over time.
Equally at home in a country cottage or a contemporary interior, Heirloom Gold has been designed to be enjoyed as a collection or introduced one piece at a time, bringing warmth and character to the rooms we live in.
The Heirloom Gold Rattan Bench pairs a woven rattan seat with the warmth of softly aged gold, creating a lovely contrast of natural texture and decorative craftsmanship. Its elongated silhouette rests on six gracefully turned legs, with carved corner details that reward a closer look. Position at the foot of a bed as a practical place to sit while dressing, or use as a characterful occasional seat beneath a bay window.
“The versatility of the collection feels very French Bedroom to me, pieces with presence and personality designed to be lived with and loved for many years.” Georgia Metcalfe, Founder & Creative Director
The signature gold finish is achieved through an eight-step ageing process, creating the warmth, depth and softly timeworn patina of genuine French antiques. Rather than a bright, uniform gold, its subtle lustre catches the light differently throughout the day.
To appreciate the colour and texture up close, we recommend ordering an Heirloom Gold wood sample, allowing you to see how the aged gold finish responds to the natural light in your home.
