Both the corner of the headboard and the side rail of this bed have been professionally repaired. Most importantly, the bed is structurally sound and is now ready for delivery. Please see the images for visual representation of both before and after the professional repairs. As with all our not quite perfect items, this bed is sold as seen and therefore non-returnable and non-refundable.

Smooth, sweeping lines on the solid wooden footboard are married with a fine single-layer rattan headboard, completed and complemented with tall and elegant barley twist spires topped with tapering finials.

We've used carefully worked and finished sustainable acacia wood that has a striking natural grain, emphasised with a slight paint distemper (a blend of paint and water for a white-wash effect).

Acacia is a strong, dense, heavy wood that is highly resistant to scratching and moisture. Acacia trees are fast-growing and will grow easily in almost any type of soil without fertiliser, rarely needing pesticides. The wood is known for its beauty, sustainability and durability, making it a great choice for the eco-conscious among us.

Furthermore, the bed is wrapped in non-bleached recycled protective paper and cardboard boxes, so almost no plastic packaging is used. Using bleach on recycled paper and card removes the smell from the recycling process but leaves harmful chemicals in the local water table. Any smell from the internal paper wrapping will dissipate in a few hours in a ventilated room.
