Gustavian Dark Dressing Table:
Designed in Sussex by French Bedroom's design team, the Gustavian collection pays tribute to the kinship and visual dialogue between French and Swedish furniture designs. The collection offers new classics for the discerning eye, the warm rich tones of the pieces bring a grounded aesthetic, with a focus on quiet luxury.
With neoclassicist characteristics such as clarity of form and strong horizontal and vertical lines that render the pieces timeless, the Dressing Table is inspired by the clean-lined and architectural Gustavian form.
Crafted from solid ash wood frame and finished with a dark stain, the Dressing Table features long, fluted and tapered legs that hold up the symmetrical body of this writing desk. The hand-carved, panelled drawers feature horizontal fluting‚- a traditional element of Gustavian furniture design. Hand-carved pearl beading surrounds the underside of the chamfered edge surface, leaving no detail spared.
Four A4 sized drawers are adorned with circular brass drawer pulls and surround a larger middle drawer with a functional lock and key - and a decorative tassel. This writing desk can also be used as a Dressing Table (with the matching mirror) providing you with a safe space to store valuables or locking away work during the weekend and elevated bedroom styling.
