An exceptional piece of furniture from one of our most popular furniture collections, the Palais Royal Upholstered Bench is as useful as it is elegant. Place at the end of your bed, under a bedroom window, in your dressing room, or in a hallway for an impressive first impressions statement.
We love the curves, the French cabriole legs, the upholstered sides and backs, and the juxtaposition of the contemporary linen against the antique gold and the grand aesthetic. There is no mistaking it, this is an heirloom of the future, for your children and your children's children.
This long bedroom stool is handmade from solid mahogany and adorned with hand-carved baroque-style acanthus leaves and stylised florals. It is then painted and distressed with a soft ivory crackle effect, and the areas of carved bas relief are highlighted with a gold leaf patina - a meticulous hand-worked 7-stage process. The bench is then button and pleat upholstered in a natural linen.
Because these gold upholstered bedroom benches are hand-made, we can only produce a limited number each year, so stock availability can occasionally be scarce.

We offer free delivery for orders over £1,500. Orders below this rate are £39.95. This applies to all addresses in mainland Britain (excl. northern Scotland). For all other locations, just add items to your basket, and enter your postcode or country for a quote.
For British mainland deliveries our 2-man crew will deliver to your room of choice, unpack the furniture for your full inspection, and ask you to sign a Proof of Delivery note.
In stock items are delivered within two weeks to almost all areas of mainland Britain.
When ordering multiple items, we will typically make one delivery when all items are in stock (there may be occasions when we deliver goods separately from different warehouses).
Returns
If goods are unwanted we charge a returns fee of £60 from mainland Britain. You simply need to notify us within 45 days of delivery if you would like to make a return.
