The medium-dense linen upholstery is soft to the touch, yet hardwearing and the frame and turned feet are made from ash with a subtle dark stain distemper. The linen is a French grey, which has undertones of pale blue.

We love the sweeping button upholstery around and over the top curve of the headboard, the way the metal studwork follows the vertical lines and scrolls on the headboard side returns and then hops and dots across the horizontal lines on the upholstered side rails. The lack of footboard means this bed works well proportionately in smaller rooms and is convenient for people who are tall, like to watch TV in bed, just like to kick the duvet off in their sleep!
