Designed by French Bedroom to complement our Love Story Furniture Collection, the Love Story Velvet Armchair is hand-carved high grade oak, gently stained to enhance the natural medullary rays within the oak, deepen the tones that emerge from within the organic grain, and perfectly complement the Intricately woven double-layer rattan back.
This armchair is striking in its simplicity. The plush cotton-velvet on the seat and arms invites you to sit, with the promise of comfort and luxury. The rattan back is cushioning and supportive, while remaining feminine with its beautiful carved detailing at the crown and seat of the chair, continuing down the elegantly tapered French cabriole legs.
Upholstered with the same cotton velvet of our Love Story Taupe Buttoned Bed and Love Story Taupe Bench, this velvet and rattan chair pairs perfectly with other pieces of the Love Story collection.
Crafted from organic oak, the purposely rustic finish is designed to reveal the organic knots, cracks, grain and characteristics of the wood, adding to the authenticity of the purest and most beautiful natural material.

Velvet Upholstery – Natural Bruising During Transit
Velvet is a luxurious upholstery fabric known for its soft texture and rich appearance. Due to the nature of this material, you may notice some temporary shading or ‘bruising’ on the velvet when it is first unboxed. This can occur during packaging and transit, where the velvet pile may be lightly pressed in different directions.
Please be assured that this is not a fault, but rather a natural characteristic of velvet upholstery. The nap of the velvet will reflect light differently depending on the direction it lies, which can create variations in shading.
In most cases, this can be quickly and easily resolved by gently brushing the fabric with a velvet or soft upholstery brush, to realign the pile and restore the velvet’s uniform appearance. Light steaming (without direct contact) can also assist if needed.
Over time, with normal use, the velvet will naturally settle and develop its intended finish.
